在翻译的时候,时态是最大的难点之一.因为历史,回忆与现况交错,所以在不断斟酌着哪些用过去时还是哪些用现在时.而主角在作每一个动作或者在某一刹那间发生的事(比如在尖叫得同时灰尘掉下来),就要用正在进行时.但是很多地方发现,必须要把中文里习惯性省略的动作细节补上.
比如第一句为例,原文是推开了容器盖子,然后发现自己身处在一个实验室里.因为中文中没有时态概念,而且当中爬出来的一个动作被省略了.英文中直接翻译会让人感觉很奇怪,比如我推开容器盖子,醒来发现...人家就想:废话,难道推开的时候你在梦游阿?推开了盖子,如果不加上爬出来的动作,就会让人觉得主角是站在这个容器的里面朝外面看,可在容器里怎么环顾实验室四周?所以我就加上了爬出来这个动作.于是三个动作在同一句话里便发生了冲突.于是推开的动作为最先,用过去时,爬出来是一般时,爬出来以后意识到自己正站在一个实验室,这又是两个动作.意识到则是一般时,自己正站在哪儿是一个状态, 所以用现在时.
英文翻中文容易,中文翻英文难啊

狐狸宝宝： 回复@Bowenxiao315: 如果只是回忆的话, 或者是主角张扬在讲述自己的一个经历, 你可以全部都用过去式, 这样也简单, 所有动词时态一致. 但是这个翻译一定要站在主角张扬的立场, 他正处于面对这一切的时候. 所以不能全部用过去.应该是以一般时和进行时为主.
